Tonight we went to a club that has concerts every Sunday night for free! It wasn't too hard to find thanks to Trevor who is actually using data on his phone and supplied us with Google Maps. But it was freeeeezing tonight (coldest I have been in a VERY long time) so it felt like it took a long time to arrive. We had some luck with buses though, as far a waiting time. We ended up running after one and catching it.
Anyway. The club was very "European." It was concrete and looked like they had no intentions of fixing it up, which was great for the atmosphere. I'm not sure how to describe the band that played. They played a little calypso carribbean stuff and some rock and such. It was just a modge podge of people. The first singer looked older...maybe 50? There was a guy with one eye that sang, along with a saxophone, flute, trumpet, baritone, drums, and other instruments being played. The women were dressed in animal print and the trumpet player sported only a furry vest.
It seems like a great place to go to. Maybe we can make it a Sunday event.
Oh and by the way, my butt is very bruised already. Wish me luck getting up in the morning.
