Today is the best day I have seen in Oslo yet. I know it's not as nice as at home, but it was so great to be outside today. The sun was (and still is) shining and it was relatively warm. I walked around Sognsvann lake in a sweatshirt. There was a nice breeze too. It seemed like everyone was outside today. Sognsvann is way more crowded now that it is nice out. There were people BBQ-ing (smelled sooo good), people walking their dogs, laying out in the sun, going for a run, you name it. And it was everyone. There were tons of kids around, but there were also many elderly people out today too. I'm not surprised at all though. Norwegians do love the outdoors and this was a great day to be out.
I would just like everyone to note that I love vegetables now. Not all veggies of course, but before I came here I scoffed at the v-word. Now I love tomatoes and mushrooms and peppers (not the green ones) and beans! There are actually a ton of foods that I appreciate here way more than I ever would have at home. I'm not quite sure why, but I'm glad about it.
It's light so late here now. It's honestly more confusing than when it was dark so early. I think it's four in the afternoon, lots of day left, and I look and it's almost eight. Perception is such an interesting thing.
My first final is on Wednesday. I'm starting to get a little nervous. I'm really hoping I do well. After that though I will only have one more to go.
One of my flatmates left for home today. She is going back home to Ireland for a few days and then off to Connecticut to work at a summer camp. It's weird that it's starting to be the time when people begin to leave.
Back to studying...
