Sarah and I made a last minute decision to go to Stavanger, Norway this weekend. It's on the west coast of Norway, about an eight hour train ride. The main reason we are going is there is there is a really famous cliff nearby called Preacher's Pulpit (Preikestolen in Norwegian). We've decided to try out couchsurfing this trip. For those of you who don't know "couchsurfing" refers to a network of people all over the world who offer their couches (and other accommodations) to travelers. It's way cheaper than staying in a hostel or hotel and it's a great way to meet people. A number of my friends here in Oslo have done it, and have had good experiences so far. Overall, I'm excited to be taking another trip, since I've been here in Oslo the last couple weekends.
I had my first final yesterday and I think it went very well. It's in the hands of the graders now, at least. When I get back from Stavanger I am going to have to start studying for my next test though. I'm expecting the next one to be a bit more difficult. Plus it is six hours long.
It was very foggy outside today after being so nice the past couple days. It's supposed to be rainy the next few days, but hopefully the rain will hold off for our hike. Lara's friend is visiting from Germany. It stinks that she came right when the weather got crappy again. We had family dinner tonight with her, played some UNO, hung out. It was nice.
I'm not sure if I am starting to miss home more or not. Maybe it's just because I know everyone is getting out of school and it's such nice weather. I am definitely looking forward to being home. It just stinks because I know I won't be able to do this again. I can go home anytime, right?
