Hey Donna (and everyone else),
I have finally met a Norwegian Elkhound in Norway! I wanted to tell you about it before I forgot. And to all of my other blog readers: Don't worry there will be more to come later.
Anyway, I was walking out the supermarket and I spotted a dog that looked very much like a Norwegian Elkhound. She was darker than Loki and I'm sorry I can't remember the other one's name (something that starts with an "N"?). It seemed like there was a lot more black to her fur. Also, her tail was not quite as curly, and I don't think she was quite as big. The woman standing with her didn't know much about her. It was her friend's dog and she was simply waiting outside with her while her friend was in the supermarket. She told me she thought the dog was middle aged. She had originally been owned by someone else who had not taken very good care of her. From my impression she seemed like a very laid back dog, and the friend confirmed that she was kind, but wasn't quite sure of the English words to describe the laid back part (I think "laid back" would have summed it up). I'm only sorry I didn't get a picture. I only thought of asking later. But I did have a nice chat with the woman and got to see a beautiful dog today :)
Hope you enjoyed this post :)
